This week’s show features two Louisiana natives with two distinctly different takes on the music. New Orleans senior piano maestro, Allen Toussaint stirs up the audience with his wonderful catalog of New Orleans pop at the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. A little further up the road, Houma, Louisiana native, Tab Benoit, plays a more rootsy take on southern Louisiana music on the fall 2011 Legendary Rhythm & Blues cruise off the coast of Mexico. Preston Lauterbach returns with another episode of The Chitlin Circuit and the Road to Rock & Roll.
